email sends but doesn't load

Question

email sends but doesn't load

Can't load email from Time Warner server. Send is ok. TWC tells me it's on my end not theirs.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Troubleshooting Apple Mail

What does Mail/Window/Connection Doctor Show? If the server is red, select it and look at the Show Details box.

Apple Support tells me I need a new IP address, after 2 1/2 hours of troubleshooting. I'm waiting for Time Warner to provide. Thanks for the help, thats the first thing Support looked at, too. ( I'll try to report back after the new IP address.)
