Can install iCloud Photo Library

Can install iCloud Photo Library

I am trying to set up ICloud Photo Library on my rather new MacBook Pro 13" with Retnia

Instructions say :

System Preferences> iCloud> Options

Following this path to Options I get t only 2 choices: “my photo stream: and “iCloud photo sharing.” Both of these are checked

I have also tried System Preferences> Photo> Options (Photo is listed below iCloud)

Photo> Options Options lists only one choice: a list of approximately 10 APPs that store docs and date. All these APPs are checked.

What am I doing incorrectly?

Do you have OS X Version 10.10.3 or later (check in Apple menu > About This Mac)? That is the first version that supports iCloud Photo Library.

It's OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

Is there a way to upgrade to 10.10.3 This was one of the reason I bought this computer. Didn't know anything about iCloud Photo Library

until the young man in the Apple Store mentioned the features. Another young man mentioned it during a One to One the other day.

The current version is 10.10.5 and you can upgrade to that via Apple menu > App Store > Updates (in the bar across the top). There is more information about doing the update at About the OS X Yosemite v10.10.5 Update - Apple Support

You may also want to consider turning on automatic updates. That is in Apple menu > System Preferences > App Store

Thanks Photo Library is installed.

All but the OS X Apps were checked for automatic updates!
