I have changed my email address on my Apple ID but on my ipad automatic updates revert to the old email address and will not accept the replacement one or the password. How do I change this so the ipad recognises the automatic request to update software?

Did you actually change the email address associated with your account, or did you create a new account?
Apps are permanently tied to the account used to purchase them.
Hello. Thanks for replying. I changed the email associated with the account. Even if I had created a new account I still know the password for the old account so still can't understand why I cannot at least download the new software updates when the alert comes up automatically. Any more ideas to resolve this?

Go to settings turn off find my iphone.
Restore iPad back to Factory Settings .
This will make ipad like new .
Set back up over your WiFi use
Your updated Apple ID / password .
To get your Apps/Data back .
