restore shuffle mp2

im tryn to revive/use/restore my old mp2shuffle, it's itune contents (songs & artist) show wen i plug into ths Mac but Lap says it doesn't recognize my shuffle (songs from another itunes library), my old mp2 songs were downloaded frm an old Gateway computer, can it & how do i get all these hundreds of songs back Thank you,
