Trying to delete photos and videos in Yosemite Photo

1. I have a new iPhone 6. Need to transfer all videos off to MacPro... and then to 3TB storage drive - Phone is now full.

2. But Mac Pro with Yosemite HD is full. Need room. Says 3.83G available. (400G are movies.)

3. My first solution: I went through all my videos in Photo from past 4 years, and deleted 400 movies from old iPhone uploads, totaling about 1000 minutes.

4. All movies showed up in "Recently Deleted." (as I read they would be) I then deleted all of these. Restarted MacPro.

5. Mac Pro HD shows 3.83G available.

HELP???
