Q: I have quite a conundrum; I need a place to store my confidential photos, but I also need to wipe my phone's photo library since it's taking up the most space right now. Is there another place to store these, or is there a way so that others can't see?

The question seems self explanatory enough, but I am rather concerned, and hope I find a solution quickly.

Seeing as how it's nothing I can disseminate, this is all the detail I can go into right now. I may be able to get a new phone with more storage soon, but in the meantime, I'm looking for a vector between the two and prefer it be a private one. This would be a tremendous help both now and in the future if answered. Also, as for the reason why it is on my phone of all places, it is because my phone is the most secure device I have, seeing as how it's always with me.

iPhone 4S, iOS 8.4

Well, I would hope your computer is secure enough to store your photos.  In the end, without using the internet, you will need to use a computer to copy the photos off, then you can place them on whatever storage device you like.  You can leave them on the computer to move them to a flash drive or even a removable hard drive.  At that point of course you would then need to erase the photos from the computer if you don't want them on the computer.  If you are unsure about the photos being captured on the computer anywhere, create a new user.  Use that new user to do all of your transferring, then return to a pervious user and delete the new user including it's home folder.  Good luck with those "confidential photos"

You can use Image Capture to download the photos on the iPhone to a folder on the Desktop.  Then you can create an encrypted disk image with Disk Utility to store the photos in.  To mount and open the disk image you'll need to enter the password you used to create the disk image.

As for the iPhone being the most secure location for confidential photos or documents thing again.  I would not keep anything sensitive or confidential on my iPhone.

Wouldn't the OP be better off using a digital camera - as the memory cards are apparently getting bigger and the cameras smaller rather than the IPHONE camera - that way the pictures would never stray onto the internet.

With Cloud storage the laws vary by country - and the security is dependent on country.

If the OP wants to carry a digital camera around in addition to a phone that might be a good option but he would have to carry the camera around all the time or just the memory card.  The memory card is not protected as an iPhone so if lost the pictures would be at risk.
