I need help desperately. MacBook Pro crashed. I didn't use Time Machine. How can I backup my files if I can't access them?

If you did not use Time Machine, how exactly did you back up the original files/data on your old MacBook Pro? Where are those backups stored now?
Impossible to backup data if you the hard drive has failed.
See if you can startup your Mac while holding down the Option key. That should prompt the Startup Manager where you can select the startup disk then click Restart.
Take your MBP to an Apple store or pro repair.. and get them to remove the hard disk and back it up.

We would recommend that you NOT attempt to do this unless you already know how to do this, and have done it in the past.
