Wifi Password Problems

My wifi is set to have a Admin password. To turn on and off its checked in the preferences but when i go to turn it off or on it doe's not ask for it and just goes on and off when i tell it to with out a password.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
