My iPad dumped all of my emails from all of my inboxes without me initiating it. Any ideas how I can retrieve them?

The other day I went to check my emails on my iPad mini and all of the emails in my 3 accounts were completely gone. Nothing in the inboxes, sent, deleted or flagged files. I did not initiate any deleting, they just disappeared. Any ideas on how to retrieve them?
