my iPhone 5C home button does not work

The home button on my iPhone 5C does not work. Just suddenly it occurred yesterday. I immediately shut it down and restarted it and it still does not work. Secondly, I installed the latest software upgrade and still the home button does not work.

what next?

I was thinking of taking it to the Apple Store but the warranty ran out 6 months ago.Do you happen to know what they charge?

Get it serviced ASAP. Go to http://locate.apple.com (choose your country in the top right) to locate a service center or contact Apple at http://getsupport.apple.com (Choose your country in the top left). The out of warranty pricing can be found here: http://www.apple.com/support/service/ Choose your product then country. Hope that helps!
