Q: Can't type u j or n on iPhone 5s keyboard

having trouble using phone as it won't let me type the characters u j or n on keyboard when in portrait orientation but is ok when turned to landscape, but also seems to be problematic trying to swipe screen to turn brightness up or down and delete emails etc, anyone know why?

If I understand correctly, there's an issue tapping specific onscreen keyboard letters on your iPhone 5s when the device is in portrait mode. If you haven't already, take a look at the article linked below and try the touchscreen troubleshooting tips that it provides.
