Is the new iMAC a defect product?

I bought this new iMAC with full excitement, but except for the great display it does seem to have constant issues.

First off the external devices don't always show in the finder even though it asks you to eject them properly.

2nd the WiFi connection gets lost if you don't use your computer for one hour or 2 and have to turn off Wi-Fi and turn it back.

3rd your iPhone and iPAD don't automatically backup to iCloud through your iTunes even if you have specified so.

4th and the worst: the iPhoto library doesn't properly synchronize to iPhone (6). I spent hours on the phone with a specialist few weeks ago and apparently he solved it. Well it was solved then, but now again it has issues and doesn't find the library. I have a strong feeling that it does have to do with the general synch of iPhone and iMAC as the backup didn't happen neither.

So is this a crappy product or did I receive a poor/defect version of it?

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

By default, external drives do NOT show on the Desktop. The Mac OS has been that way a long time, probably an homage to Steve Job's Zen-like sense of a clean interface. Change the settings in Finder Preferences:

iDevices show up in iTunes, not the Desktop, when connected to the computer.
