I downloaded an OSX version which included a later version of Safari. Now I click Safari and it gives me this message:
Can't use this version of Safari with this version of Mac OS X. On the computer OS X 10.7.5 is installed. The application
requires OS X 10.9 or later. How do I return to my old Safari version?

Did you download this version of the operating system from the App Store? I don't understand how Safari would be incompatible with your OS since they're bundled together — you get one with the other. If you have 10.7.5 running, then the version of Safari on your computer should be the one that came with that upgrade.

I have pointed out you have included private details to the hosts. They will probably edit them out. It is very unwise to include such detail in a public forum.
If you go to About this Mac (via Apple logo) what OS does it say you have. And if you go to 'About Safari' what version does that say you have. Sorry if I seem a bit dumb but I cannot follow your post with certainty either.
