Need help with syncing multiple iPhones on one MacBook

I have a macbook pro - early 2011 that runs on the OS X Yosemite version 10.10.15. My boyfriend now shares my laptop with me. I set him up with his own user account and his own iTunes account. However, when I plug in his iPhone (5S) to the laptop via USB cord when he is logged in on his account it still shows up as "Genoa Bell's iPhone". How can I get the laptop/iTunes to recognize his iPhone?! Step-by-step directions would be ideal! Thank you!
