Does the rMBP come with software to play DVDs?

If I get a rMBP and a separate SuperDrive, will watching DVDs be 'plug-and-play' or will I need to purchase a program to play the DVDs with[that is how it is on Windows machines without an optical drive, and I am considering changing over, so that's why I'm asking.] Thanks!

Connect the external DVD drive and when you insert the DVD, you can click on the DVD on the desk top to play the DVD. No separate software is required.
