I Get lots of email but don't want to accidentally miss one from a loved one. How to flag or mark contact as important on iPad.

In the Mail App, go to Mailboxes and you should see a VIP Mailbox. There will be an ℹ on the right side where you can all of your VIPs. Emails from VIPS will be noted with a Star in the inbox and when you go to the VIP Mailbox it will show only those emails.

Gather important messages. Add important people to your VIP list, so all their messages appear in the VIP mailbox. Tap the sender’s name in a message, then tap Add to VIP. To change how notifications appear, go to Settings > Notifications > Mail > VIP.
