Aug 30, 2015 10:59 AM in response to rochsolidby Jay-Ray,When you update your iOS it will immediately go to the highest supported version which is iOS 8.4.1. You do not have a choice to choose a specific version in between. Updating will obviously offer a few different features which may impact your performance slightly, but it should not be detrimental to the use of your iPad 2 unless you have existing hardware issues, otherwise Apple wouldn't let the iPad 2 get iOS 8.4.1
