Will Apple replace what appears to be a defective battery in my I Mac Pro purcahsed in 2012 since the cycle count is 262 and it is 98 % charged but will not operate on battery. It says the battery needs replacement.
You have to take your Mac to an Apple Store for help. You can make an appointment at a Genius Bar in advance.
This being a user to user forum, no one here can say whether or not Apple will replace the batter for free.
There is no way to tell for certain. Present ALL your equipment at an appointment at the genius Bar at an apple store and ask them. Your visit for an evaluation is free.
