Hi Leonie,

Version is Iphoto '11 - 9.2 (626)

Yes, I can preview and made a .pdf file and was able to save to my desktop. Actually came out nice :-)

So, I click on the book where is say buy book at the bottom of the page. I sign in with my appleID and make sure all is up to date, address, credit card and such. I then press order. Send your order comes up and the book start the first stage, with assembling the book. That goes all the way. Then the next step ( step 2) is upload order. I am not able to get the bar working in this step to place the order. The bar stays empty and then after about 15 minutes, it says error. You can cancel or try again.

Any up guidance you can offer?

I'm thinking about paying the 30.00 to apple so they can troubleshoot the problem. I just thought I would be able to figure this out on my own.

Tried again this morning, not working. This is so frustrating. . .

Thank you everyone for trying to help and for letting me know it's just not me having this issue.

Save your money. User Mac NYC posted this in another similar topic and it fixed the original posters problem. Take if for what it's worth:

Solved

A senior support representative from Apple told me that certain aspects of the communication with the Apple Print Products site have been changed, and iPhoto is no longer compatible unless you upgrade to Yosemite.

One can reload iPhoto and it "should" work. I have not upgraded yet myself. He also said they are working to resolve the incompatibility, but do not know when it will be complete. He said Yosemite may be the near-term option.

So we're left with either upgrading to Yosemite, getting iPhoto 9.6.1 and ordering or keep trying with what we have and hope it goes thru or Apple fixes the problem. Some users reported success after repeated attempts over time.

Also report your problem to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html as the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

and go buy Yosemite.

Yosemite is free you don't have to pay for anything.

After upgrading to Yosemite be aware that iPhoto will not be deleted from your hard drive, only removed from the Dock. If you have iPhoto 9.6.1 you can still use your iPhoto library.

If you don't have that version but some earlier version of 9.x (you have iPhoto9.2 so should be OK) try following Terence Devlin's instructions in this post to obtain iPhoto 9.6.1 from the App Store:

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1

If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash.

Install the App from the App Store.

Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

If you want to start using Photos just drag your iPhoto library onto the Photos icon in the Dock and let Photos migrate it to a Photos library. Your choice.
