iPad won't charge. Just says in top of screen not charging can anyone help I just bought this?

Do you have it plugged to the wall with the charging adapter that came with the iPad? Using the USB Lightning cable to Mac or hub sometimes does not generate enough power to charge an iPad.

On occasion, my iPad 3 will do that. Usually it's be use I am not plugfing it all the way even though I think that I am.

Make sure that you are using the supplied charging block, plugged into a wall socket and then unplug the USB end and plug it in again. Unplug the lighting connector end from the iPad and plug it back in firmly and make sure it is plugged in all the way.
