iSync with SE W810i works under one login and not another

Hi
after upgrading to 10.4.6 and iSync 2.3, I can't sync my SE w810i and SE d750i anymore under my usual login ID; another account that I had set up works fine though... any idea how I can restore the capability under the main account ? I've tried to copy over the Application/iSync, ~/Libray/ApplicationSupport/iSync and PhonePlugins directory, without success. When I pair my phones it does propose to use it for iSync, but pressing "add devices" in iSync I have a message that says "unable to use this device".
The console message is 10:42:33.040 [iSync:943] ERROR (.bluetooth.rfcomm): <IPHRFCommChannel: 0x3545c0> got immediate error at opening (openRFCOMMChannelAsync:): kIOReturnUnsupported
Again, it works fine under a seconday account.

The 'PhonePlugins' directory that you say you copied over... where is it located and what's in it?

10.4.6 required a Phone Plugin for the W810, but 10.4.7 included iSync 2.3 which had native support for the W810 built-in.

If you have a third-party W810 Phone Plugin installed and are now using 10.4.7 or 10.4.8 you should remove the W810 Phone Plugin. It could be conflicting with iSync's own W810 support.
