I am sorry to hear that you are unable to stream music from the Music app after signing up for Apple Music. I know that it can frustrating but let's see if we can get it sorted out. 

I would first check to see if you have iCloud Music library is enabled on your iPhone. Check in the article below for more details. Let me know if this works of if you need further assistance with playing the content from Apple Music.
