Q: What version of final cut should i use?

Im a newbie. I have a ~VIN,MacBook (13-in, Aluminum, Late2008)

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

THe only version Apple sells is 10.2.1. I Don't think it will work with your machine

There is only one version available – unless you have previously installed an earlier version.

That current version only runs on Yosemite,

So you have some upgrade choices to make.

Hard to say. You'll have to see. You'll definitely need Mountain Lion

Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support
