Apps won't open after OSX 10.10.5 update

Hi,

Yesterday I updated to OSX 10.10.5 via the App Store and now when I try to open applications, I get messages such as this one:

User uploaded file

It not only happens with Final Cut Pro, but with most third party apps. I already re-installed 10.10.5 bundle and it was no good.

Any help is appreciated. Please be specific 🙂

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Hey I had the same problem. All my apps wouldn't open and finder was in a crashing loop/relaunching loop. After trying to repair permissions with no luck, I started the mac in safe mode (hold shift at boot sound and release when you see apple logo). The mac launched fine and i could open apps again. This made me think it was one of my startup items causing the crash.

So go system preferences and users->login items and remove all the items in there.

I wasn't sure which was causing the crash, after opening each app individually it seemed to be utorrent that was casuing the issue. I removed it from the startup items and restarted with no issues.

Not sure if you've had the same issue but that's what fixed mine. 🙂

I tried opening uTorrent (one of the non-working apps) to see what the log would show. Here's what it showed:
