Hi i downloaded boot camp 6 update but it fails to instal on macbook pro retina 2012. Windows installer has stopped working, then can't find boot camp files.
Is it worth the bother as the old files appear to be working apart from the camera.

You have two options.
1. Leave them as they are and if you have issues, fix them using individual driver installation - Boot Camp: Solve Windows support software installation problems, or,
2. If you recently installed W10, and are able to remove the current W10 (upgraded from W7/W8) and perform a clean installation of W10, it will also clean up your drivers properly.
