My Ipod Touch wont Turn on

I was using my ipod and it worked fine, it was on low battery then i went to turn it on and it wouldnt so i assumed it was out of battery. couple of hours later i went to put it on charge but noticed the sign wasnt coming up to let me know it was charging niether was the sign that tells me i need charge. i thought it must of been really really flat so left it on charge overnight, in the morning still same situation then changed charges and left it on all day. still nothing and nothing happens when i hold down both power off button and home button. i have had it for about 8 months so it is still in warrinty.

Force your device to start. To do this, press Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and hold them for at least 10 seconds.

If this does not help, take a look these Apple Support articles:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support

Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your iPhone. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your iPhone needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.
