I bought an iphone in honk Kong. I'm now living in France. It needs to be repaired. Shall I ship it back to hk apple store as iPhone warrenty is limited to the country it's been bought to? Thanks guys for your replies.

Hi! You are absolutely right, Apple warranty is valid only in the country of purchase.
The HK store won't handle shipments in or out of the country. Do you have a friend in Hong Kong who could handle it?
Contact the Hong Kong store. Phone 800 908 988 and ask their advice. You will have to send it back but they may provide postage costs. Do you know what the fault is and have you had a quote for repair in France.

The phone doesn't respond anymore. It's off. Impossible to get a quote for repair here before open it up. So probably better to ship it back to hk, I guess. I think the number you've provided it's only operational from honk kong as a toll free number. Is there an email address or something? Thanks
My research didn't reveal an email address. Is there one on the receipt you have (a copy of which should accompany your return).

I don't understand why apple doesn't not provide international warrenty for unlocked phone. People travelling now. They are not static anymore.
Agreed. Best you can do is send a message to Apple Feedback. They are very unlikely to respond but yours will no doubt add to the pile they are getting. 👿 Sorry I can't be more helpful.
