I want to download the latest Mac OS X form the mac app store but I do not know how to do it. more

Aug 31, 2015 4:23 AM in response to Pratham Patelby Barney-15E,This all assumes you had no backup. If you do have a backup, it changes slightly.
When you restart, hold down cmd-opt-R. That will boot into Internet Recovery. You can re-partition your drive from there and install the OS.
When it first appears, select Disk Utility.
Select the Hard drive from the list.
Select the Partition Tab.
Click the Options button and set it to GUID Partition table. Exit the options.
Click the partition popup menu and select 1-Partition (even if that is already set).
Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format.
Give the Volume a name (Macintosh HD).
Click Apply.
Exit Disk Utility and select Install OS X.
That will install the OS that shipped on your Mac. When it is done installing, you can upgrade to Yosemite.
