i forgot my passcode but i dont want to have my data erased

Yesterday, i changed the passcode on my iPhone 5s. I don't have it backed up on iTunes, so if i plug it in its going to erase everything and i won't be able to back it up. I want to gain access to my iPhone again without having the data in it erased. Is that possible? or will i have to go to the Apple Store?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4

No, it is not possible. The only way to handle a device that you have forgotten the passcode for is to restore it. Going to the Apple store will do nothing. There is nothing they can do any differently. They have no record of a passcode and then cannot override it. Use this support document for instructions on dealing with a forgotten passcode.
