Do I really have the latest Bootcamp version?

Hi,

I have a Mac Pro from 2013 and need to install Windows 10. It looks like Apple updated their Bootcamp drivers to support Windows 10. However, in my Bootcamp assistent I only have the option to install Windows 8 and 8.1. I run the Updater a couple of times and it always tells me that there are no new updates available. I have Bootcamp Version 5.1.4 (500). Wikipedia says the latest stable version is 6.0.

So, why does the App Store Updater says there are no new updates? Do I have to download Bootcamp somewhere manually?

Bootcamp Assistant becomes version 6 in El Capitan. Prior version should be 5.1.x.

BC Drivers are v 6.0.6133 (check Bootcamp.xml) for W10. These are available for download using BCA 5.1.x or through W10 Apple Software Update.

BC Drivers for W7/W8+ are 5.1.x.

So, you just select use the option "Create a Windows 8 or later install disk" in the initial dialog?

Yes. I downloaded the following version using BC Assistant 5.1.4 for Windows 7 installation on a 2012 13-in MBP. (This had to be modified to work around the unsigned AppleSSD.sys issue - reference is [urgent]get "appleSSD.sys" error when installing windows 7 through bootcamp ).

This is BC6 driver package.
