cursor stability when using icloud email with a PC

I have consistently experience a problem with cursor stability when typing emails using icloud mail program on my PC desktop computer. Most often after typing a word or two the cursor reverts to the beginning of the sentence and keeps on displaying what I'm typing. At other times it simply moves somewhere else in the document area. Has anyone else experienced this and, more importantly is there a fix.
