How do you send your device for service?

This sounds so dumb and stupid, but my iPad doesn't charge anymore, and I know it's the iPad, not the cables. I want to send it for service, but how exactly does it work? Do you need to wait for someone to come to your house and you give them the device for them to send off or what?

Also, does anyone know what's the best topic that fits with the problem, I couldn't find one so I had to click other and write it personally myself.
