.Mac no longer available to receive e-mail

I am a bit frustrated, after being a .mac user for the last 8 years, I have lost all of my e-mail and now only emails with an .icloud or .me extension come through. 8 years of email were lost and no one can seem to tell me why they have been removed from the server. These e-mails were never deleted by me.
