Need information

What is a good question ? What is a bad question ? Personally any question that is designed to seek knowledge of any kind is worth asking. I am a simple person 58 years old and not at all a computer whizz. I can get around things in most cases.

I am how ever in a bit of a stalemate. I have a Macbook-Pro laptop that I love everything about. Some has brought to my attention that Quicktime should be installed on my computer as part of the purchase package. Is that true ?
