BT Keyboard - o key not working

..writing from a std. Apple kayboard. 🙂

Hardware:

iMac 21.5", Late 2013 running Yosemite.

The "o" key on my BT keyboard is not working when used with my iMac. I have tried to unpair and re-pair the keyboard - but the issue remains. I tried remving the batteries from it and leaving it overnight - same issue.

I then tried to connect it to my MBP - then the "o" works. Then I re-paired it with my iMac - then "o" stopped working again.

Anybody knows how to resolve this?

See if a Safe Mode boot helps using the wired keyboard.

Top left corner of your screen click the Apple  > Shut Down.

After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. You should press the Shift key as soon as possible after you hear the startup tone, but not before.

Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

Once you are in Safe Mode, go back to the Apple  menu. From the drop down menu click: Restart

Then re "pair" the keyboard.
