why won't my mac stop asking me what my keychain password is? how do i make it stop?

hey.

so, can anyone help? why won't my mac stop asking me what my keychain password is. i.e., 'local items password desired by your calendar,'... 'desired by your apple internet accounts,'... etc.? this is very annoying, as it is not just one inquisition, but about 10-20 times the computer asks me what my keychain password is, and forces me to answer in order to use my programs and applications.

how do i make this stop, please, for now and for future. i am desperate and it is pretty dang annoying, considering I've owned this computer for a few years now with no trouble.

i must have installed something the computer doesn't like very much, or something, though i think it is strange since i haven't installed anything sketchy ever or anything new in months.

running a macbook air on Mac OS Maverick 10.9.5.

I figured out how to delete the keychains and resolve the problem, though I am not sure if I did it right since now there are other obvious issues with the computer, error messages, etc. I am wondering if somehow a virus entered my computer despite mac's great security and my antivirus/antispyware software. Needless to say though, I am not being constantly asked for passwords, which resolves one problem for sure.

Thanks anyway,

Erika
