how do I unblock an email sender

All of a sudden my most important email recipient is blocked. How do I unblock? I use mac mail.

While this is true across my apple devices (iPhone, iPad mini), I am currently on my iMac OS 10.10.4 (yosemite)

The only genuine way to block a mail sender is at the server. Since the same thing is happening on multiple clients, that must be the case. Only the mail service provider could tell you more.
