After saving a document in my document file, Pages will not allow me to retrieve it and open it.....notation says the doc is too old .

You may have Pages '08 and Pages v5.5.3 installed on your Mac. No release of Pages v5 will open Pages '08 documents, and dialogs you to open them in Pages '09, whose files it can open. Can you open the reluctant document in Preview?

What exactly does it say, and when did you actually create it, using what version of Pages?

Found a way to open it using Preview. Was created using 3.3 pages. Also found that opening pages - then open an existing doc. worked Too.
