it fellout of pocket got wet, dreid off right away, tried hair dryer, had to restore on itunnes, now wont turn off or finish update

Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and get it replaced.
cant afford a new one right now.. really upset
is there a better way to try and dry it out... or am I out of luck
You could try placing it in a bag of dry rice for a week, but I would think it is too late now and the device may have been damaged beyond repair by the water or by applying the severe heat of a hairdryer, so only an authorised Apple Repairer can give you a diagnosis when they see it.
