i want to buy an apole tv but I don't know if I can use it with my ipad Air 2

Sure. They are perfectly compatible. I do it all the time. You can Airplay from your iPad to Apple Tv.

What exactly do you want to do with your iPad on an Apple Tv?

i dont know if i can play videos and photos form gallery, my ipad has time-lapse and others effects with video camera but i dont know if i play the video on my tv it plays the effect wich i have record the video

It will play exactly the same way as it plays on the iPad. All its doing is sending the image its playing back on the iPad out to the Apple Tv at the same time.
