When I use a cross dissolve, I am getting pink flashes or full screen of pink lines replacing my clips. I am trying without success to build a slideshow from jpegs using dissolves and ken burns crops. When I apply a dissolve, it seems to corrupt other clips sporadically. Please can someone help me, I am at my wits end.

WWhen do you see this? After the transition is applied? After rendering? After exporting? What are your system specs, project properties, and media specs?

Thanks for replying. The flashes and full pink and green line screen (as seen below) is coming up in the preview screen and I think only after rendering. It also shows up on the exported video. I am using a 2011 macbook air i7 with 4gbs ram and yosemite 10.10.5. Oliver Project is HD 25fps.
WWhat are your graphics card specs? What are your project properties? If you're working in HD you don't need giant inages? What are the media specs? 4 GB RAM is really pushing the envelope with you're working with large format stills.
Its an intel GPU 300 with 384 mb
I am using Jpegs around 5 mbs.
Should I resize them? What size?
IIntel 3000 I think. That's the absolute minimum graphics capability. Is your project HD? 10930x1080? 1280x720?
WHat hat are the dimensions of the images, that's what matters? If you're working in HD you don't need images that are 3000, 4000 or more pixels across. If you have a lot of them in the timeline you're probably going beyond what the system can handle.
