I want to upload my photo library, which I have in two computers, to iCloud, and that includes many duplicates. Does cloud reject duplicates? Thanks

No, iPhoto does not have artificial intelligence to know if pictures are the same. It will duplicate them. You have to be careful which ones you upload by deleting duplicates from one of the Macs. Make a time machine backup first in case you make a mistake. You can then recover if needed.
