is it safe to update to the newest version 8.4.1 for the 4s
iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2

I've been trying to get my wife to do this because she doesn't have time to upgrade her iPhone right now.
My impression is that it might be safe because iOS 9 Public Betas all support the 4S, although some issues of course remain.
Experience and impressions from other Forum members would be a big help. Thanks in advance!
