Intermittent problem receiving group text messages.

I have an iPhone 5S. Sometimes group text messages don't come through for hours, and then 30 will dump to my phone all at the same time. Have not had this problem with individual texts. I've tried turning the phone off and on, resetting iMessage, updating the OS, and sending messages in hopes of triggering the avalanche. Service is through AT&T.
