items in iTunes library that have a cloud with a slash through it will not download from my Mac Pro to my new iPod touch. items are MP3 files I've downloaded into iTunes.

Thank you for taking time to answer Limnos. Is there any way I can get these files into my new ipod touch? Should I take my mac and ipod to an apple/iTunes expert and see if they can do it? The only reason I bought this new itouch with 64 gigs on it is to be able to download these files into it and listen while I run. Thanks again.
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7163823 - If you have signed up for Apple Music or iTunes Match you won't have the option to manually manage music/sync to a device in iTunes. Syncing is done through iCloud and all your eligible music (and if you are seeing the non-uploadable icon you may have some that are not) should appear there.
