QuickTime X loses sounds when playing forward 2X in Yosemite?

Is this a bug or something new to me in the in new system? just upgraded to yosemite. This has been fifth version of yosemite (10.10.5)...

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
