Q: How do I maximize available GB on my Airbook 120GB

It seems that much of my GB is being used by Apple (23GB for "hidden data", for instance). Do you have any recommendations on how I can free up space without deleting my personal files? It feels as though I already have these to a minimum. Thank you!

If you use the Photos app, using Photos' menu, do File > Show Recently Deleted and then click "Delete All" in the upper right.

If you use iPhoto, you need to empty its trash. I believe the command is File > Empty Trash. (There is a trash folder visible on the left sidebar. Go there and empty it.)

you can use DaisyDisk app or similar to investigate what is taking space on your drive
