MY MacBook Pro is 3 years old and just randomly shut off after displaying a 'remove USB port taking up too much power' sign (there was no usb plugged in) and now whenever I try to turn it on it makes one loud beep every 5 seconds. will not charge either.

try to reset PRAM and SMC first
Try reseating the RAM if you model has replaceable RAM.
If it has replacable RAM and still problem try one stick in each slot one at a time.

Thanks guys, I took it to a repair store after trying to repair PRAM and SMC etc etc turns out the logic board was broken!
My MacBook Pro just shut off now is beeping once every 5 secs?
