iphone 5 erase after stolen

hello sir

my i phone 5 is stolen last week with ios 8. i just want to confirm that if they will able to unlock the phone all the files and data will erase from the phone like my photos, my other documents.i am not asking about the i cloud id i am just asking about the phone memory.
