I've been experiencing slow downloads on app store for about a week now. I am sure our internet connection at home has nothing to do with it 'cause it works fine on streaming videos and downloading torrents. I wonder if the server is down or the upcoming ios 9 update has something to do with this? Is there a way that i could fix this? Btw, I'm from the Philippines.

Turn your device off and back on. If this doesn't help, sign out from your account and sign back in.
Also, you can try resetting your settings.
Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
I have tried that a couple times already. I even changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8. Still... No luck.
Im having the same problem and this is the first thing that I thought I should do... well it didnt work!!
i have been updating a 16MB update for almost 2 days now, come on Apple please fix this problem, Ive spent a lot on your devices knowing that its "hassle-free" i guess its not.
it seems like apple dont give a **** and is not doing anything, a lot of threads about this issue is popping up and still no patch fix or something.
What I don't like at all is that Apple keep saying they have nothing to do with this issue, may be your iPhone is full, your IP isn't fine, maybe your're have low battery, etc... when they know positively it is them... All devices I tried since yesterday fail whne updating apps from AppStore.
So please, do something and communicate.
Exactly! I have 2 apple devices that I can't update or download apps. Been going on for almost 2 weeks now and it's really frustrating.
All i can do now is wait for the release of the upcoming iOS 9 update and hope that it will fix the problem.
Actually I don't think it's an iOS 8 bug, because I've tried it (also) on an iPhone 4 (which is iOS 7) and the behaviour is exactly the same. Looks like the servers are in trouble...
Ah! Yeah! My other device is an iPhone 4 and it has this problem also.
I really wonder what's going on with the server.
I have been really patient about this issue and tried every possible solution to this problem... I eventually gave up.
I still have this problem. I wonder If Apple will ever fix this problem.
The problem was solved just now without doing anything. I guess it was a problem between Apple server and our ISP.
